I don’t know why but I love to test for new designers. This time, the
lovely Angelyn from Greenstyle
Creations offer me the opportunity to test, very
quickly, her new pattern: the Laurelette – the girl version of the famous women
pattern the Laurel (nothing better for a matching-dress-mummy-and-me).
I have to say this is a very versatile pattern because it came with lots of options: tunic, dress, hi-lo hem, straight hem,
four sleeves lengths, pockets, cowl or neckline with binding!!! And the
best part? It goes down as low
as 12 months and as high as 14 years!!! At our home this is already a must-have pattern.
I already own a few Greenstyle patterns and the GreenStyle Shawl Collar Pullover is
already my oldest petit favorite, but I confess that I was surprised by how quick and easy it was to sew this
pattern. My daughter choose the dress version (what a shock! rolling eyes…) and
in a few hours it was ready!
The first word that my daughter choose to define
this dress was: Comfy! Follow by beautiful, girly and fab! Why she choose those words it’s easy to understand.
Made with knits, this dress is very confortable but yet feminine. It’s
a all-in-one!
On my cutting table are already new fabrics ready to
make some more (hint: Hi-Lo!!!) and you can make them
too! You will love it, so grab yours on the website at:
P.S.- If you want have extra fun with it join us in the Greenstyle Laurel and Laurelette sew-a-long from Monday September 29th - Sunday October 5th!
